It seems we are on a regular rotation with the tooth fairy, Alexandra lost her second tooth and both permanent teeth are coming through.
Alexandra lost her first tooth tonight. Can’t wait to see what the tooth fairy brings her.
Today we finally set up Alexandra’s closet in her new room. After we finished hanging up all the dresses Alexandra looks into the closet and says “Mom there are extra hookers (aka hangers), we need to go to the mall to find dress for them.”
Now that is my kind of logic. You go girl!
Ava had a little adventure and demonstrated her independence and ability to help herself in an unfamiliar situation. So the story goes…
Thursday after school let out (at 3:10 pm) Ava thought that Charlie or I would be there to pick her up and walk home with her. Mema and Bepa were visiting for the prior week so the routine was to walk home rather than take the bus to after school care. Well, Ava was confused when no one was there to pick her up so she decided to walk home (rather than go back in the school and ask for help). Ava walked all the way home and discovered no one was home so she decided to wait on the back deck. After waiting for some time she decided to write me a note and go to the neighbors house across WESTMORELAND (yes, its a busy street). She walked across the street, knocked on the door, when the children answered the door she asked for there mother. She told the neighbor that her mother was not home and, of course, our neighbor invited her in and gave me a call at 4:30 pm (1 hour and 20 minutes after school let out). While we have reinforced with Ava that she is not to leave the school without an adult, we are very proud of how she handled the situation, kept her cool, and helped herself solve the problem.
I am attaching a copy of the note Ava left for me. As best I can make out the translation is as follows:
“Stay, I might be please mom I need you here to come everyday early. 1825 Westmoreland. I will stay in the backyard.”
The girls and I had to go to a friend’s house to work on my truck. While we were there the girls wanted to try out John’s motorcycles. Ava’s favorite was the Suzuki Hayabusa (red) which is the fastest motorcycle in the world. Alexandra’s favorites were the Yamaha dirt bikes. I promised them that when we move to California I’ll teach my girls how to ride dirt bikes in the mountains.
[Gallery not found]Back in early June we went to a great Sushi restaurant in Tysons. Alexandra, always being the rebel, agreed to try Sushi. She did really well and we were very proud of her.
Our waitress also gave both girls training chopsticks which they were both able to use easily.

i hope i am going to love the first grade.

Alexandra took ballet this school session. Her Ballet class presented Disney Dazzle this past week to show off all they’ve learned.
Enjoy Disney Dazzle!
